Responsibilities Summary:
- Plant layouts and project/equipment drawings and quoting including the generation of bill of materials.
- Designing and costing custom equipment related to project.
- Assisting sales with on-site sales support and in customer consultation of project.
- Preparation of detailed work procedures for production assembly.
Experience requirements:
Proficiency in AutoCAD and experience with plant layouts in the poultry processing required. Job requires individual to possess a valid driver license and be available to travel.

Mechanical Engineer/Designer

Cantrell is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer/Designer to join our engineering team. The Engineer will be responsible for providing engineering support in the supply of custom assemblies, components and specialized machinery. In addition this person will collaborate with other team members to perform calculations, generate designs and prepare drawings that meet required specifications.
The ideal candidate will possess machine and component design experience, possess a high degree of technical expertise, work under minimal supervision and be able to thrive in a challenging fast-paced environment.
Minimum Requirements
- Experience in capital equipment industry is a plus. We require 1 to 3 years demonstrated expertise in advanced mechanical design; including experience in metal forming, machining, fabrication and hydraulics.
- This position requires AutoCAD 3D Inventor expertise with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
- Must have a solid understanding of drafting techniques and familiarity with ANSI/Y14 drafting standards.
- Proven organizational skills in order to prioritize and balance multiple projects and coordinate project timelines to ensure timely completion.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Access and Excel).
- Ability to travel on an as needed basis (10-25%).
Successful candidate will have a Bachelor Degree in a related Engineering discipline; however, we will consider an Associate Degree with related experience.
