Cantrell Promotes Newberry to Engineering Manager

GAINESVILLE, Ga. (September 22, 2015) – Cantrell has promoted longtime employee Travis Newberry to Manager/Engineering.

In his role as Manager/Engineering, he leads Cantrell’s Engineering Department which is responsible for developing the technical specifications for all Cantrell equipment and parts. He will work with Cantrell sales staff to ensure all equipment is designed to meet customer specifications. The Engineering Department is also responsible for developing mechanical drawings and project layouts for the production and installation of the equipment.

“Our Engineering Department plays a key role in making sure our equipment meets the specific requirements of each customer,” said Tony Rice, Cantrell General Manager Finance/Operation. “With his overall experience in the industry and as a project manager, Travis is a natural fit as Manager/Engineering.”

Over two stints, the Gainesville, GA native has worked at Cantrell for more than 20 years in Sales and Engineering. He rejoined the company in 2009 as a project manager.

Newberry, who attended Lanier Technical College, and his wife, Tammy, have two children, Chelsea and Chase. He enjoys trout fishing and riding four-wheelers.
